Period of the project: April 2007- March 2009
Applicant: Dissens s.V., Germania
Partners: share-it, Italy, Eurocircle , France, Men's Counselling Centre, Austria, Peace Institute, Slovenia
The project Peerthink is an action under the EU DAPHNE Programme;
it developed tools and resources for an intersectional prevention of Peer violence. for teachers, trainers, educators and peers.
PeerThink aims at building a ground for Violence prevention with adolescents, which reflects categories like Gender, Ethnicity, Religion, educational background and other social structures systematically. In order to perform an effective anti-Violence work, the relationships between multiple social dimensions have to be included systematically: violence prevention will become "intersectional". This new approach is tested and evaluated during a two-years-period project.
The project is realized in a partnership of Dissens e.V. Germany (Leader), share-it, Italy, Eurocircle, France, Maennerberatung Graz (Men's Counseling Center Graz), Austria and Peace Institute, Slovenia.
